FAQs
What can I expect during my first session?
Your first visit includes a deep dive into your injury history, movement assessment, and personalized goal-setting. We’ll begin treatment right away and give you a personalized roadmap forward—so you leave feeling informed and empowered.
Do I need a referral from a doctor to start physical therapy?
Nope! In California you can start physical therapy without a physician’s referral. If I believe you need further medical input, I’ll let you know and help guide next steps.
What types of injuries or conditions do you treat?
I work with active adults and athletes recovering from:
Orthopedic surgeries
Joint replacement surgeries
Individuals with acute or chronic neurological injuries (traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, cerebrovascular accidents/strokes, concussions)

How is Jordan Patterson PT different from other PTs / Clinics?
I focus on one-on-one personalized care, every time. No hand-offs. No cookie-cutter exercises. Just smart, intentional rehab with a clear plan that adapts as you progress. You’ll also find I have an affinity for building sincere and impactful connections with my clients that is incomparable to the industry standard of physical therapy, rehab, and performance services.
How long are sessions and how often do I need to come in?
Sessions are typically 60 minutes. Frequency depends on your goals and phase of recovery—some clients come 1–2x/week, others check in monthly. I'll tailor it to your needs.
Do you accept insurance?
I am a cash based out-of-network provider, which allows me to deliver higher quality personalized care.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear comfortable athletic clothes that allow you to move freely—think gym wear or what you’d wear to train.
What if I’m not injured but want to move better or prevent injury?
Perfect. I love working with clients proactively. Whether you're preparing for a season, improving performance, or just want to move smarter—I can help build a program that supports your goals.
Do you offer remote or virtual sessions?
Yes. My virtual coaching service allows you to stay on track no matter where you are. It includes tailored movement plans, check-ins, and video feedback—all from your phone or laptop.
